House rules
The Board of the Academic Club Association sets the Rules of the Club as follows:
1.) The Club is a private club, open only to members and sponsoring members of the Academic Club Association (hereinafter together referred to as Club members) and, with the exception of children under 14 years of age, to guests invited by them.
2.) Admission is subject to the presentation of a valid Club membership card.
3.) A club member is entitled to bring in up to eight guests as an individual guest. If the number of guests exceeds this, the catering is considered an event. The method of payment and settlement must be agreed directly with the Restaurant Manager.
4.) Guests may only enter or stay in the Club if accompanied by a Club member.
5.) The Restaurant is open from 12:00-23:00 on weekdays, while the Club is open from 10:30-23:00. During the summer, usually between 20 July and 20 August, the Club and Restaurant is closed for the summer. (Opening hours may be extended on prior request. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of tables.
6.) During opening hours, there is a continuous supply of food and drinks, newspapers, magazines and other services (computer, printer, photocopier, etc.).
7.) Members and their guests may visit the Club in appropriate civic dress (gentlemen in suits and ties) out of respect for each other, in accordance with the House Rules and the general accepted rules of social behaviour.
8.) In the interests of the smooth running of the Club, photography, video and audio recording is prohibited.
9.) Payment for services rendered may be made occasionally in cash or, by agreement with the member, by credit card or other cashless payment method. The Club staff may not request or accept settlement of the account from a guest.
10.) The member may be warned to comply with the Rules of the Club. The Board of the Association may ban a member from the Club for a specified period of time in case of repeated or serious violation of the Rules of the Club, or terminate the membership in accordance with the provisions of the Association’s Statutes.
